Mardi Gras
On Tuesday, February 21, 2012, the Ad Club of CT and Mascola//Group of New Haven hosted the annual Mardi Gras Party. Each year Mascola//Group graciously hosts this outstanding event … it is a small slice of the Big Easy, right in our own back yard. The evening offers Cajun-style fare, wonderful networking opportunities, and a musical mixture of Zydeco tunes, Brass Band classics and today’s hits. You could amass a treasure of Mascola Doubloons through a game of chance or with a knack for advertising trivia … the person with the most Doubloons at the end of the evening went home with a special Grand Prize from The Big E! And to attend the event … all we asked was for a diaper donation for The Diaper Bank of New Haven. Attached is a letter of thanks from The Diaper Bank. Here’s to next year and more support for CT’s littlest residents!
Hockey Night in Hartford
On Friday, March 9, 2012, the Ad Club of CT hosted its first Hockey Nite in Hartford. With a generous donation from our Yearlong Sponsor, The CT Whale. With hockey (and cowbell) fever in our hearts and a last second tying goal … our CT Whale managed to win in a nail-biting shoot-out. Ad Club members were not the only ones who benefited from this donation. We also donated tickets to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Child Life Services so that these deserving children and families could have a great night out. Caitlin Gadecki, Donor Relations/Development, at Connecticut Children's Medical Center Foundation, sent us the following: Dear Ad Club: Here is an email I received from one of the families who attended the Ad Club of CT Hockey Nite in Hartford. We had a WONDERFUL time at the game on Friday. I don’t know if you saw anything in the news, but the team scored the tying goal with 4.9 seconds left in the game and then won in a shootout.
