Entering This Year?

What's Eligible:
All creative originated and produced in Connecticut and used between February 1, 2009 and February 28, 2010 is eligible for entry. Work created or executed by an agency or supplier on behalf of an advertiser may be submitted by the agency, advertiser or supplier. If the same work is submitted by two or more entrants, duplicate entries will be eliminated. Work entered in an incorrect category will be transferred to the correct category at the discretion of the judges.

The Committee reserves the right to request verification of production (i.e. tear sheet or media report). In addition, all Award Show entries must represent newly produced work, and not “carry overs” from previous years. New executions of a continuing campaign can be entered; however, updating copy/photos of existing work is not permissible.

Entry Fees (Same Low Price):
Ad Club Members: $30 per entry, or $25 each when submitting 10 or more entries
Non-members: $40 per entry, or $35 each when submitting 10 or more entries
Students: No charge

There will be an $85 hanging fee for all winning entries.

Judging
The Award Show judging panel will include accomplished copywriters, designers and creative directors from around the country. Judging will take place on March 26-28, 2010.

Notification
Should your work be chosen, you will receive a letter identifying which of your submitted entries have been accepted in the Show. Awards will be presented at the 56th Annual Award Show on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cromwell, CT.

Deadline
If you enter by mail, materials must be received by Friday, March 12, 2010.

If dropping off entries, please see drop off locations below and drop off on or before Friday, March 12 between 10 am and 4 pm.

Preparing Entries:
Print - All entries must be mounted on black board. Campaigns should be taped together accordion style. If this isn’t possible, please mark on entry forms, “1 of 3”, “2 of 3”, etc.

Radio - Submit single spots in MP3 format on individual CD’s with no tone or agency identification. Campaigns can be submitted on a single CD with no more than :03 between spots.

Television - Submit single spots on DVD with no bars, tone or agency identification. Campaigns can be submitted on a single DVD with no more than :03 between spots. Please indicate the length of the presentation DVD.

Online/Interactive/Digital - Please list any plug-ins or other software required to run all features of online or interactive entries. Be sure to send a mounted 8-1/2” x 11” color printout of the homepage, banner or some visual representation of your digital submission. Also include the URL address for any online entry.

Entry Forms
Complete an individual Entry Form and make one copy for each piece submitted. Please identify entry by category and by sub- category, where appropriate. Attach original to back of entry.

Complete the Master List of Entries detailing all entries submitted by your firm. Attach a copy of each Entry Form to the Master List of Entries and make sure to submit the Master List along with all of your entries. You must also email a copy of the Master Entry List to (Subject Line should read: “Master Entry List from fill in your agency/name here”).
