New This Year!

FOR OUR 61st ANNUAL AWARD SHOW, we have rearranged our categories … making it easier than ever to enter. We have added a few new items, and we have changed our “Preparing Entries” specs slightly. So please review this year’s info carefully.


What’s Eligible:

All creative originated and produced in Connecticut and used between March 1, 2014 and February 28, 2015 is eligible for entry into the 61st Annual Awards Show in May 2015.

All entries must be received by Friday, March 13, 2015.

Work created or executed by a Connecticut agency or supplier on behalf of an advertiser may be submitted by the agency, advertiser or supplier. If the same work is submitted by two or more entrants, duplicate entries will be eliminated. Work entered in an incorrect category will be transferred to the correct category at the discretion of the judges.

Entry Fees/Payment of Entry Fees:

  • Ad Club Members: 1-5 Entries at $35 per entry, 6-15 Entries at $30 per entry, and 16+
    Entries at $25 per entry.
  • Non-members: 1-5 Entries at $45 per entry, 6-15 Entries at $40 per entry, and 16+
    Entries at $35 per entry.
  • Students: FREE. Open to students enrolled in Advertising, Graphic Design, or Marketing at any Connecticut college or university. All forms of advertising are eligible: print, collateral, broadcast, direct mail, etc. Work did not have to be created for a class.

All entry fees can be paid online. All entries MUST BE PAID IN FULL prior to judging. If paying by check, make checks payable to: Ad Club | CT and include with your entries when you drop them off/overnight to Ad Club offices/etc.

Judging:

The Award Show judging panel will include accomplished copywriters, designers and creative directors from around the country. Judging will take place in March 2015. More information on judging coming soon.


Notification/Exhibiting Fee:

Should your work be chosen, you will receive an email notification identifying which of your submitted entries have been accepted in the Show.

At that time, the mandatory Exhibiting Fee for your winning entries will be invoiced. All Exhibiting Fees MUST BE PAID IN FULL prior to Awards Show in May 2015.

Awards will be presented at the 61st Annual Award Show in May 2015.


Deadline: Friday, March 13

If your entries are sent via mail or courier, materials must be received on or before Friday, March 13, 2015.  Please deliver to Sandra Brangiero, 57 South Stonybrook Drive, Marlborough, CT 06447 (if sending directly to offices, please make sure to email us at admin@adclubct.org and indicate when it was sent and when we should receive). Or entries may be delivered to one of the drop-off locations, on or before March 13, 2015 during the times indicated below.


Preparing Entries:

NEW THIS YEAR:

There is now a size restriction on entries. No boards over 24” x 36” allowed. And, all Print and Online/Interactive/Digital Entries must NOW ALSO INCLUDE the submission of a JPG file showing artwork, as well as the mounted artwork. See more under “Print” and “Online/Interactive/Digital” below.

NOTE: If entering an item in more than one category, you do need to prepare separate boards for each category.

Print: – All entries should be mounted on black board. Campaigns should be either hinged together or you should indicate on entry forms, “1 of 3”, “2 of 3”, etc.
NEW! If an item is larger than 24” x 36,” a photograph or color print of the item (8” x 10” or larger) should be mounted on an appropriately sized board.
NEW! Single Sided Print: If printed on one side only, please mount on appropriately sized board.
NEW! Multiple Page or Sided Print/Etc: Mount in 5” deep pockets on appropriately sized board (Pockets must be securely fastened to board.)
NEW! Dimensional Entries: Please provide any entry that can not be mounted in some sort of protective packaging (box, etc).
NEW! All Print Entries must NOW ALSO INCLUDE the submission of a JPG file showing artwork, as well as the mounted artwork.

JPG files should be sent to admin@adclubct.org with a subject line reading: Award Show Entry JPG Files From (Your Agency/Name Here). JPG names should somehow correspond to your entry (i.e: ABC Agency_Corporate Design_Logo Design). If there are multiple images for any given entry, please also indicate “1 of .., 2 of…, 3 of…,” etc. This info also needs to be included on both the Entry Forms and the Master List of Entries.

Radio: Submit single spots in MP3 or WAV format on individual CDs with no tone or agency identification. Campaigns can be submitted on a single CD with no more than :03 between spots. You MUST indicate the length of the spot(s) on the CD, along with name of spot and client name. Audio Format: MPEG3, WAV. Non-working entries will be disqualified.

Television: Submit single spots on DVD with no bars, tone or agency identification. Campaigns can be submitted on a single data (no self-playing please) DVD with no more than :03 between spots. You MUST indicate the length of the presentation(s) on the DVD, along with name of spot or campaign and client name. You MUST also submit at least one (1) mounted image (see information under Print) for use in our awards presentation (8” x 10” or larger). TV/Video Formats: QuickTime (high resolution). Should be the full resolution that the spot was created in. Please use a data DVD – not self-playing. All leaders, countdowns, color bars and entitles must be removed. Non-working entries will be disqualified.

Online/Interactive/Digital: To facilitate judging, please provide active URL (and password if necessary – all on the entry form and in the Master List) for any online entries or working/linked files on CD. Please also indicate/list any plug-ins or other software required to run all features of online or interactive entries. Non-working entries will be disqualified.

You MUST provide a mounted 8” x 10” or larger color printout of your digital submission. (ie: the homepage (additional pages optional), banner, or screen grab of game, webisode, etc.).

NEW! All Online/Interactive/Digital Entries must NOW ALSO INCLUDE the submission of a JPG file showing artwork, as well as the mounted artwork. Entry Forms/Master List Submission:

An editable PDF Entry Form and an Excel Master List of Entries are available for download below. Complete an Entry Form for each submission and affix to the piece (see below for campaign entry info), and also make one printed copy for each piece submitted to attach to the Master List of Entries.

This info also needs to be included on both the Entry Forms and the Master List of Entries, in the appropriate places as indicated on the forms.

Complete the Master List of Entries detailing all entries submitted by your firm. Attach a printed copy of each Entry Form to the Master List of Entries and make sure to submit the Master List along with all of your entries. All entries MUST BE PAID IN FULL prior to judging.

YOU MUST ALSO EMAIL A COPY OF THE MASTER ENTRY LIST to admin@adclubct.org (Subject Line should read: “Master Entry List from fill in your agency/name here”).

Drop-Off Locations:

You may drop off your entries at any of the below locations thru Friday, March 13, 2015 (please see specified times for each location). If there are any issues with drop off by March 13 please contact Sandi B at the Ad Club Offices.
