Annual Out of Home Creative Competition

COST: $10 Pre-registered Members / $20 Non-Members or at the door / $5 Students

The Advertising Club of Connecticut's annual Out-of-Home Advertising Competition will be held on February 28, 2007 at Real Art Ways in Hartford. (Directions to Real Art Ways FREE onsite parking. http://www.realartways.org/directions.htm)

 

The theme this year is 'Get Involved. Give Back.' Register online by clicking here.

The theme is not intended to be specific to any one charity. It's your choice. Make it specific to a cause, like volunteering at animal shelters, soup kitchens, or with children, and so on. The idea is to create a call to action to the general public to "Get Involved and Give Back" in any way possible, by donating money, time, goods, etc. Any message that makes people stop and consider how they can give back is acceptable.

 

In addition to the winner receiving 2 rotating billboards in CT, the winning entries, and well as select additional entries, will be displayed at the national Conference on Philanthropy 2008 in Chicago in April.

The doors will open at 5:30pm and all of the entries will be on display. Food will be provided by Clear channel Radio Hartford and there will be a Cash Bar.

Industry experts will evaluate the entries during the event. We’ll announce a winner at the end of the evening. THE WINNING BILLBOARD WILL BE ON DISPLAY AT TWO LOCATIONS IN THE STATE.

 

The Rules:
All entries must be 7” high x 24” wide (Scale ½” = 1’) mounted on 9” x 26” black mat board. Each entry MUST have a separate entry form (photocopies ok) secured to the back. Nothing identifying your studio/agency should appear on the front.

 

ENTRY FORM:

IMPORTANT: All graphic images (photo or illustration) must be purchased and paid for by the contestant. It must be available for use on billboards at no cost to The Advertising Club of CT.
