President Letter for 2007-2008 Season

Dear Ad Club Members:

Thank you for helping to make last year an incredible and exciting year. Guess what? Another terrific year is just ahead. We hope that you will join us at as many of our events as possible. To all new members, I want to extend a sincere "Welcome" from the entire Board of Directors and myself.

Look at what your Ad Club board has planned already:

• An exciting Kick-Off Event at Service Point USA in New Haven
• A Convergence Educational seminar & Panel Discussion - details soon
• Our Annual Holiday Party - an opportunity to celebrate with industry friends
• Free Monthly Thirsty Thursday networking events - because we all need a time to connect, vent and chill
• Annual Out-Of-Home Advertising Competition
• 55th Annual Award Show, the premiere award show in Connecticut
• Annual Golf Tournament
• And, our 10th Annual Charity Auction to benefit the Connecticut ChildrenŐs Medical Center and the Rob Branham Scholarship Foundation

In addition to these planned events for our members, we're continuing to work closely with local colleges and universities to develop strong, future employees. You can be involved in shaping young minds too by offering to help with on-campus portfolio reviews and career planning sessions.

The Board is also busy working on further enhancements to our website including online event registration and payment and extending the Job Bank functionality to serve employers and those looking for work. Make sure you visit www.adclubct.org regularly for updates on events, the Ad Club calendar, event photos, enrollment forms, and much more.

Our organization is built around volunteers who contribute and help the Ad Club succeed. So whether your focus is to create and organize an event, or just to gain exposure via communicating with the members about their needs, there is a place for you on a committee or the board. If you are able to donate some time designing or writing for a promotional piece, please let us know.
